SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC [September 25, 2012]
Sheriff Chuck Wright held a Press Conference at 9:00 AM this morning at
the Sheriff’s Office to discuss the arrest of the serial rapist that has
targeted women in two counties. Overnight Investigators
took Rodney Maurice Davis, Jr. (19 years old) into custody. Mr. Davis,
Jr. is currently charged with one count of Burglary 1st Degree and
Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree. These first charges come from the
sexual assault that took place at the Newport Apartments on August 17,
2012. He has been transported to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s
Office Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing at a time to be
set by the court. Investigators will be bringing more charges against
Mr. Davis.

this case.
