April 9, 2012 – Shortly after 2:00 AM this morning Deputies responded to a report of an Armed Robbery and a Shooting at the Circle K convenience store located at 1796 E. Blackstock Road. Upon arrival on scene Deputies learned that a suspect described as a white male, wearing a black and white baseball type cap, a black t-shirt over a dark colored long sleeve shirt, dark colored jeans, black and white gloves, a bandanna over his face and armed with a revolver type handgun robbed the store and shot the clerk (see attached video). The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of money in an unknown direction. The clerk was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment of what medical personnel have described as non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit and Forensics Unit were called to the scene. Investigators are asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect in this case. The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous and the public is advised not to approach this individual but to call law enforcement.
