2/27/2013 - Second Suspect Arrested, Third suspect on the run in Taco Bell Shooting

Last night Investigators arrested 19 year old Tevin Marquez Thomas in connection with a shooting that took place in the parking lot of the Taco Bell located at 7680 Warren H. Abernathy Highway on Monday afternoon, February 25, 2013. This afternoon Investigators located and arrested 27 year old Reginald Marcquette Sanders for his part in rendering assistance to Mr. Thomas following the shooting. Investigators are still looking for a third suspect, 24 year old Robert Lee Moore, who has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder. Mr. Moore is the brother of Spartanburg native and current Chicago Bears football player Mr. D.J. Moore. Investigators were able to develop Mr. Thomas, Mr. Moore and Mr. Sanders as a suspects based upon eyewitness interviews and evidence gathered during the course of their investigation. At this time it appears that a dispute involving illegal narcotics may have been a motive for the shooting of the victim. Mr. Thomas is being held in the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center under no bond on a single count of Attempted Murder and an unrelated charge of Receiving Stolen Goods. Mr. Sanders has been booked into the detention center on one count of Accessory after the fact to a Felony. He is awaiting a bond hearing at a time to be set by the court.
