On June 13, 2021, Mr. Martijn Stuurman was located deceased in his residence at 211 Aldrich Rd. Chesnee, SC. His death is being investigated as a homicide by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Prior to residing in Spartanburg County, he lived in Aiken County, SC from November 2017 until April 2021, when he relocated to Spartanburg County. Mr. Stuurman was an established figure around the Aiken community in the breeding and training of horses.
We believe that there is a potential persons of interest in the Aiken, SC area. The victim Martijn Stuurman has ties all across the United States to include South Dakota, Maine and Massachusetts.
A reward of $25,000 has been offered for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for his death.
