On September 8. 2021, members of the Spartanburg County Narcotics Division received information that a subject would be delivering a large quantity of Methamphetamine to Spartanburg County from North Carolina. Units set up surveillance and noticed a vehicle pull into the Days Inn, 115 Rogers Commerce Blvd., Boiling Springs, SC. The driver of the vehicle matched the description given in the information. Members of the Spartanburg County Warrants and Traffic Divisions were called in to approach the vehicle. During this encounter with the subjects, the female driver was seen reaching toward the floor of the vehicle. When deputies asked the driver to step out of the vehicle, they noticed a hand gun on the floor where the subject was reaching. Deputies also noticed in a cardboard box on the back seat with a clear crystal substance in plain view. During the search of the vehicle, approx. 10,120 grams (22.2 lbs.) of methamphetamine was located inside the box on the back seat, two hand guns, 7.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 8.9 grams of suspected cocaine base, 3.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, and $3,190 in currency. The investigation then led back to North Carolina where the following was seized from an apartment: 5,103 grams (11.2lbs) of heroin, 834 grams (1.8lbs) fentanyl, 734 grams (1.6lbs) methamphetamine, 2257 grams (4.9lbs) marijuana, 528 (1.1lbs) oxycodone pills, and 6 guns. Approximate prices for the recovered narcotics are as follows: Cocaine $120 a gram, Cocaine Base $100 a gram, Meth $60 a gram, Heroin $130 a gram, Fentanyl $130 a gram, and an Oxycodone pill $20. Approximate street value of all drug seized is $1,422,388.00. The suspects are Anna Maraline Berrier, W/F, 25 years old, 333 William Rescue Rd., Indian Trail, NC, 28079, and Dante Iquan Williams, B/M, 33 years old, 21259 Hickory St., Cornelius, NC, 28031. Berrier is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol (2 counts), Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime (2 counts), and Williams is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine.
