Earlier today, an investigator with the Special Victims Unit of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office signed a warrant for the offense of Assault and Battery – 2nd degree on Jimmy Howard Linder, W/M, DOB: 030946, 3052 Chesnee Hwy., Gaffney, SC, 29340. Linder is the pastor of the Pentecostal Church of the Living God on Hwy. 11 in Cherokee County, and the adult victim and her family attend his church. The victim alleges that Linder touched her in a sexually inappropriate way and also said sexually inappropriate things to her while he was at her grandmother’s house yesterday afternoon in Spartanburg County repairing a bathroom floor. Suspect had left the incident location prior to the reporting officer’s arrival yesterday evening but returned while the officer was still there, which is why the investigator requested all involved parties come to the office for further investigation. The investigator presented her findings to a magistrate judge today who issued the warrant on Linder.
