The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has seen a significant rise in Overdose cases. In 2020, The SCSO investigated a total of 47 Overdoes resulting in 13 deaths. So far in 2021, the SCSO has investigated 42 Overdose cases with 7 deaths. The SCSO Narcotics division began an intensive investigation into these overdoses and the investigation has resulted in a total of 63 suspects being charged with drug charges.
Of the 63 suspects there were 100 charges based on below drugs:

Crack 9
Fentanyl 3
Pills 13
Alprazolam, Buprenorphine-Naloxone, Morphine, Lorazepam, Clonazepam, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Amphetamine, Oxycodone Hydrochloride
Weapon Charges 5
Possession Contraband into County Jail 1
