Today We Remember. Today we remember that cold night 13 years ago. Today we remember that call, "shots fired, officer down." Today we remember saying goodbye to our friend,. Deputy Carper was shot and killed in the line of duty on February 27, 2007. Kevin gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to his county and fellow man on that cold night 13 years ago. While today we remember that tragic night 13 years ago, but we choose to remember the life that Kevin Carper lived, EVERY DAY.
