This morning deputies responded to Mary Black Hospital located at 1700 Skyline Drive in reference to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot. Upon arrival deputies made contact with Jeffrey Miller Wallace and Alphalena Littlejohn. Further investigation by deputies revealed that the couple and their two minor aged children had been parked in the parking lot all night. The couple admitted to deputies that they had smoked methamphetamine inside the vehicle with the children present. The children were not properly dressed for the cold overnight temperatures and there was no sign of food or water available for the children. Since there was an open DSS case on these two suspects the DSS case worker was notified and responded to the scene. Deputies placed the two children into emergency protective custody and they were turned over to DSS. The investigation into this case is ongoing. At this time both parents have been charged with one count each of Cruelty to Children.
