Violent Crime/Homicide investigators with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office have made three arrests in the Homicide Investigation of Edward Richards at 1575 Wilkie Bridge Rd., Chesnee, SC, 29323, that occurred at approx. 3:30 PM yesterday.
David Ronald Boggs, III, same address as incident location, is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime. Boggs confessed to his involvement in this incident. His girlfriend, Doris Marie Angus, W/F, same address, is charged with Accessory After the Fact. Emmanuel Roy Griffin, W/M, same address, is also charged with Accessory After the Fact. Griffin is the stepfather to Boggs and also a cousin to the victim in the case.
The motive for the incident is still under investigation.
The call to the residence was originally dispatched as a suicide to the responding deputies, but once the deputies and investigators arrived on the scene, their investigation proved otherwise.
