The Home Detention Unit of the Spartanburg County Detention Facility is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a subject who has absconded from his court ordered home detention. The suspect is Steven Dwayne Kelley, W/M, 165 Spartanburg Rd., Wellford, SC, 29385. The home detention program got an alert Monday morning at 2:00 AM that Kelley had left his residence. An officer went out to investigate further but couldn’t locate him, and efforts to find him since then have been unsuccessful. Kelley was sentenced to 2 years of home detention on August 29, 2014, for convictions for Burglary – Second Degree, Grand Larceny, and 3 counts of Petit Larceny. Anyone with any information on Kelley’s location is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and if their information leads to an arrest, they will be eligible for a cash reward.
