A person of interest has been developed in regards to the stabbing and shooting incidents at 171 Williams St., Spartanburg, SC, from early this morning. The person of interest is Darryl Lee Warden, Jr., B/M, last known address of 106 Theodosia Dr., Spartanburg, SC. Warden has 8 active warrants for his arrest for the offenses of Driving Under Suspension – 3rd and subsequent offense (2 counts), Reckless Driving, Disregarding Stop Sign, Failure to Stop for Blue Light, Possession of Marijuana, Loitering for Prostitution, and Driving Under Suspension – 2nd offense. Efforts to locate Warden since the incidents this morning have been unsuccessful, which is why the Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in attempting to find him. There isn’t a known vehicle associated with Warden at this time. Citizens are advised to use caution if they see Warden, since he should be considered armed and dangerous. At present, there aren’t any warrants on him for the 2 incidents this morning. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. **** Update, 01/03/2015, Mr. Warden has turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office where the outstanding warrants were served on him. The investigation into the stabbing and shooting are ongoing at this time.
